Central Valley Anglers, Lodi - About Us
Central Valley Anglers Lodi was formed in 2007. CVAL is a growing family-friendly fishing club that strives to improve understanding and knowledge of fisheries in the California Central Valley. As a club, we hold derbies for Trout, Kokanee, Striped Bass, Sturgeon, Salmon and other fun events. Currently, derbies are held from the motherlode reservoirs down to the San Joaquin Delta.
The Association’s primary purpose is to promote and enhance safe and responsible sport fishing as a means of individual, family and group recreation, promoting comradery, promoting good fishing practices, promoting fishing education, and working to protect, maintain, and enhance fish habitats and populations. These objectives can be attained by working with various governing agencies to provide education to provide safe, efficient and clean fish habitats including lakes, streams, rivers and reservoirs. To provide education to all planners and users of the waterways; and to provide programs through charitable giving that encourage sport fishing as a means of recreation within the state of California.
Central Valley Anglers was organized in 2007 as an "Unincorporated Association" as recognized and defined by the State of California and shall maintain nonprofit status from the Internal Revenue Service under Section 501 (C) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code.
